It was built in the time of the British Raj as a factory building. The nearest large town with plenty of shops as well as a beautiful lake and train station is around 50 minutes away with local public transport (15 km away). The bus station is around 5 km away and Colombo airport is approximately 190 km from the hotel (5.5 hours with public transport).
