It is an excellent base for skiing, being just 8 minutes from the Glenshee ski slopes and close enough to give the skiing at Lecht or Aviemore a go. Close to Royal Deeside and set amidst magnificent scenery, the hotel is also a good base for hillwalkers, golfers and fans of other outdoor activities. The town of Blairgowrie, with its night club and shops is just 26 minutes' drive away. The sea is just about an hour's drive away at Carnoustie, and it is around the same to Perth.
